Finally, a blog to document the research we’re doing for our living history display of personas from Hedeby around 900 CE, Freja and Bjørn.
Hedeby has always had a certain fascination for us, being born just south of this beautiful place at the shores of the Baltic Sea. We rekindled this interest after moving to Ontario, Canada (Turtle Island), and joining Sigtryggring Vikings of Ontario. We’re both active Eastern Style fighters with said group and enjoy crafting, medieval festivals, and creating community around the camp fire.
